Woodstoves - A Brief Introduction

Cast Iron Stoves give the most luxurious warmth. The radiated heat from the body of the stove gently warms whilst the convected heat searches into every corner of the room.

The appeal of cast iron lies not only in its ability to absorb the heat of the fire - wafting it slowly into the room long after the fuel is spent - but also in the ease with which it can be shaped. No other material can be moulded into such a variety of finishes - from softly rounded edges to crisply detailed ornamentation.

Behind todays range of Morsų stoves lies more than 140 years of experience. They have been available in Britain for over 20 years and have become firmly established favourites with stove users. The Squirrel, for instance, has been the biggest selling small cast iron stove in Britain, and can be found in every corner of the British Isles.

In response to customer demands over the years, Morsų's most popular models have a choice of leg length. The smaller stoves will fit a standard 22" British fireplace. All of the main stoves have become multi-fuel, allowing the use of a variety of solid fuels as well as wood. All fuels are burned efficiently, resulting not only in an impressive heat output but also in a low level of emissions to the atmosphere; this is especially so in the case of the Cleanheat Squirrel, Cleanheat Panther, Cleanheat Dove and Cleanheat Swan. Morsų's aim is to make the stoves as friendly as possible to the environment. And all of them are simply designed for ease of installation and maintenance.

The latest addition to the Morsų range is the Gas Squirrel, which retains the appearance of a woodburning stove but has all the convenience of instant control. It has full EC approval. Morsų stoves are from a long pedigree of fine stoves that have enjoyed great success all around the world. If you do decide to choose Morsų, then I am sure you will be delighted with the warmth it will give you for many years to come.
